What happens to optical assemblies when subjected to temperature cycling? Precision and reliability must be demonstrated not only under ideal laboratory conditions. That is why Optomech has developed a compact climate chamber that allows optical and optomechanical assemblies to be tested under controlled temperature conditions.


The climate chamber supports testing within a temperature range of −10 °C to +60 °C. Three viewing windows allow the test objects to be examined from different angles. When used in combination with our modular breadboards, the necessary measuring equipment can be flexibly positioned on three sides of the test setup. Test objects can also be controlled inside the chamber via an integrated USB port.
To maintain visibility during the cooling process, the windows are double-glazed. The spaces between the glasses can also be evacuated to prevent icing. Temperature sensors inside the chamber help ensure that measurements are conducted in a controlled manner. One of the sensors can be attached directly to the assembly under test.
With its compact dimensions (internal dimensions: 380 × 200 × 250 mm), the climate chamber takes up very little space. If you have different space requirements, we can scale and customize the chamber for you.
