The new model offers a significantly larger measuring range of 20 mm with a fine pitch of 0.5 mm per revolution. With this expansion of the product range, Optomech is responding to the increasing demands in optics, mechanics and metrology, where precise positioning over larger travel ranges is required. Thanks to the finely scaled 0.01 mm pitch, even the smallest adjustments can be made precisely.

While conventional micrometer heads only display the measuring range in one direction, Optomech uses a different concept: the zero point is in the center so that movements in both the plus and minus ranges can be read directly. No more inconvenient memorization of a zero point – instead an intuitive adjustment, ideal for precise fine positioning.
